On May 18, Russian forces attacked two civilian ships heading to the ports of Greater Odessa with drones. One of them was carrying a crew of Chinese citizens.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Navy.
On the morning of May 18, a Russian strike UAV attacked the dry cargo ship KSL DEYANG near the Odessa region.
The ship flies the flag of the Marshall Islands, and its shipowner is a company from China. There was a crew of Chinese citizens on board.
“Russia once again demonstrates that its attacks pose a threat not only to Ukraine, now they are a risk even to its closest partners, whose ships are in the Black Sea,” the report says.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Sea Ports Administration reported that two civilian vessels under the flags of Guinea-Bissau and the Marshall Islands were hit by UAVs.
According to preliminary data, minor fires broke out on both vessels, which the crews extinguished on their own.
