Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Massoud Peseshkian will sign an agreement on a “comprehensive strategic partnership” between the two countries.

According to the Kremlin, during the meeting, the parties will discuss opportunities to expand bilateral cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, transportation and humanitarian issues, as well as current regional and international issues.

As a reminder, in June 2024, Putin paid an official visit to North Korea for the first time in 24 years. There, he signed a similar agreement on a “comprehensive strategic partnership” that provides for mutual support in the event of “aggression against one of the countries.”

Already in the fall of 2024, North Korean soldiers joined the fighting in the Kursk region.
