        Putin dismisses Roscosmos CEO

        Roscosmos CEO Yuri Borisov has been dismissed by presidential decree, the Kremlin website reports.

        Dmitry Bakanov, who served as Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, has been appointed to his position.

        Borisov was appointed CEO of Roscosmos in July 2022. He succeeded Dmitry Rogozin, who had been heading the state corporation for four years.

        After resigning from his post, Rogozin announced that he had created and heads a group of military advisers called “Tsar’s Wolves” that provides military and technical support to the occupying Russian army. In September 2023, Rogozin became a “senator” from Zaporizhzhia region.
