MP Mykola Tyshchenko will be tried for unlawful deprivation of liberty, the Office of the Prosecutor General reports.
The incident occurred in June in the center of Dnipro, when a group of unidentified men in uniform attacked Dmytro Pavlov, a former member of the Kraken special forces (call sign “Son”), who was walking with his child. According to information from Telegram channels, the attackers were Mykola Tyshchenko’s bodyguards.
The investigation established that Pavlov’s detention was carried out on the instructions of Tyshchenko. If the court finds him guilty, the MP faces up to 5 years in prison under Part 2 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Tyshchenko’s bodyguard, Konstantin Tsubera, has already entered into a plea deal with the investigation and agreed to testify.
