Thousands of people protested in Tbilisi against the results of the parliamentary elections, which caused public outrage. In the evening of October 28, protesters gathered near the parliament building on Rustaveli Avenue, blocking the adjacent road.

Among the speakers was the President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili, who said that the votes had been “stolen.” She promised to support the protesters: “I swear to stay with you until the end, until we reach the doors of Europe, our true dream.”
According to Echo of the Caucasus, Giorgi Vashadze, one of the leaders of the Unity – National Movement party, said during the rally that the opposition demands repeat elections under international supervision.
