The 1139th day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. Between April 6 and 7, 165 combat engagements took place in the frontline. The situation remains the most tense in the Pokrovsk sector. The Kursk, Lyman and Toretsk directions are next in terms of the number of attacks.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Over the past day, the enemy launched one missile attack on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements using 23 missiles, as well as 90 air strikes, including 158 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it carried out more than 5,600 attacks, including 149 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 2,112 kamikaze drones to attack.
The aggressor carried out air strikes in the vicinity of populated areas:
- Krasnopillia, Turya, Sumy region;
- Berezivka, Kozacha Lopan, Zolochiv, Dvorichanske in Kharkiv region;
- Berestok, Pokrovsk, Zorya, Hrodivka, Kotlyne, Novopavlivka, Odradne, Komar, Myrne in Donetsk region;
- Gulyaypole, Novopavlivka, Orikhiv, Novoandriivka in Zaporizhzhia region.
Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Lyman and Siversk directions
Two firefights took place in the Kharkiv sector yesterday in the area of Vovchansk and in the direction of Kamianka.
Eight occupants’ attacks were registered in the Kupiansk sector over the last day. Defense forces repelled enemy assaults near Pishchane, Nova Kruhlyakivka, Bohuslavka and Zahryzove.
The enemy attacked 22 times in the Liman sector. He tried to advance near the settlements of Novoyehorivka, Nove, Kolodyazi, Yampolivka, Nadiya and in the directions of Novomykhailivka, Novosergiyivka, Torske, Ridkodub.
In the Siversky sector, two firefights took place near Bilohorivka yesterday. All the enemy’s attempts to advance were successfully repelled by Ukrainian troops.
Kramatorsk, Toretsk and Pokrovsk sectors
In the Kramatorsk sector, the occupants did not conduct any active offensives.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out 18 attacks in the areas of Dachne, Diliyivka, Toretsk and Leonidivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped 53 aggressor attacks near the localities of Sukha Balka, Kalynove, Udachne, Sribne, Yelizavetivka, Lysivka, Kotlyarivka, Preobrazhenka, Andriivka, Bohdanivka, Vodiane Druhe, Kotlyne, Uspenivka.
Novopavlivske, Hulyaypillia, Kursk and other directions
In the Novopavlivsk sector, the Defense Forces repelled nine enemy attacks near Rozlyv, Kostiantynopil, Vesele and Burlatske.
The enemy attacked Ukrainian positions three times, in the areas of Pryvilne and Vilne Pole in the Huliaipil sector.
In the Orikhivsk sector, in the areas of Shcherbaky, Mali Shcherbaky and Kamianske, the invaders made four unsuccessful attacks on the positions of Ukrainian defenders.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled one unsuccessful attempt to reach Ukrainian positions in the Prydniprovsky sector.
In the Kursk sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 35 enemy attacks yesterday. The enemy made 212 artillery attacks, 13 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems. Also, 16 air strikes were carried out, during which 27 guided aerial bombs were dropped.
No signs of enemy offensive groups were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
