Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said he held a closed meeting with assault troops and infantry from 13 units operating in the Donetsk, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Kherson directions.
According to him, the meeting addressed the real situation on the front line and identified key проблемні питання. These include the duration of time spent in positions, the difficulty of rotations, complicated logistics under constant drone attacks, shortages of personnel, the quality of military training, provision of drones and equipment, as well as morale and communications on the front line.
Participants also tested solutions being prepared by the Ministry of Defense team for the army. In particular, these include changes to the mobilization process and issues related to unauthorized absence, as well as specific approaches for assault troops and infantry regarding service terms and financial support.
Fedorov noted that a package of concrete projects is being prepared to systematically change the situation.
He added that, on the President’s instructions, Ukraine is working together with the military to scale up Russian losses and strengthen positions on the front line.
