NASA has published new high-quality images of Earth taken by the crew of the Artemis II mission. The astronauts transmitted the first footage from space during their flight to the Moon.
The images were published on NASA’s page on the social network X.
“We have spectacular new high-resolution images of our home planet — we are all looking back through the Orion capsule window together with the Artemis II astronauts as they continue their journey to the Moon,” NASA said.
The astronauts also transmitted the first footage from space, which has already been released to a wide audience.
“Suddenly, we are as if up there with them,” NASA noted, commenting on the sense of presence created by these images.
The agency urged people to follow further mission updates in real time via a 24/7 live stream.
