As of mid-January 2026, former head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak has not completed military service and has not applied to regional recruitment centers.

This was reported by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, citing an official response from the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.

Zheleznyak published the document on his Telegram channel. The letter, signed by Deputy Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Yevhen Moysyuk, states that there is no information about Andriy Yermak’s military service in the ministry’s records.

“As of the date of consideration of the deputy’s appeal, Ukrainian citizen Andriy Borisovich Yermak has not applied to any territorial recruitment and social support center regarding his desire to perform military service during mobilization, for a special period, or under contract,” the document says.

Thus, the Ministry of Defense refuted Yermak’s public statements about his intention to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine after his dismissal from office.

Recall that at the end of November 2025, Andriy Yermak said in a comment to the New York Post that he planned to go to the front after his resignation. Andriy Yermak headed the Office of the President from February 2020 until his dismissal at the end of November 2025.
