Power outages have not returned, and restrictions for industry are temporary due to unplanned situations at generation facilities.

Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko told Novyny.Live.

“There has been no return to blackouts. This is only a temporary situation. Restored generation facilities may fail, which is what happened. However, all the breakdowns will be repaired and the situation will stabilize,” explained the minister.

Galushchenko also noted that electricity imports to Ukraine have dropped significantly: “Now it is practically absent and amounts to about 100 MW.”

The minister added that the ministry has developed a mechanism for businesses under which companies can import 80% of electricity, while Ukraine provides the remaining 20% to avoid blackouts. However, this mechanism has not yet been used by businesses.

“No dramatic situation has occurred in the system, and statements about the return of blackouts are false. I urge you to trust only official sources,” Galushchenko emphasized.
