On the night of July 26, Russian troops launched a series of powerful strikes on Kharkiv and the Chuhuiv district of Kharkiv region. According to local authorities, at least eight people were injured, including rescuers who arrived at the scene after the first strikes.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said that over 20 strikes were carried out on the city within three hours. In particular, four guided aerial bombs, two ballistic missiles, and 15 Shahed-type kamikaze drones were used. The attacks damaged residential high-rise buildings, a civilian enterprise, roads, and the power grid.
Seven fires are still being extinguished in the Kyiv district of Kharkiv. According to Terekhov, five people were injured, three of them rescuers who were hit during a second strike.
The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synyegubov, reported that Russian troops also struck the town of Zmiiv in the Chuhuiv district with missiles and drones. The shelling caused a fire and injured three civilians, including a 50-year-old man. All the victims were hospitalized and are receiving medical care.
Rescue workers and utility services are working at the sites of the attacks.
