President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukrainian intelligence has new information that Russia is preparing another massive strike. He urged Ukrainians to respond to air raid alerts and called on partners not to delay the delivery of missiles for air defense systems.
According to Zelenskyy, Russia may be preparing the attack immediately after U.S. Independence Day and ahead of the NATO summit in Ankara.
“This is in Putin’s style — right after America’s Independence Day and before the NATO summit in Ankara. Russia wants to add more evil and kill people. Please take care of yourselves and pay attention to air raid alerts”, the president said.
Zelenskyy separately addressed Ukraine’s partners. He stressed that any delay in providing missiles for Ukraine’s air defense, including Patriot systems, costs lives and only encourages Russia to continue the war.
“The world has the necessary quantity and quality of air defense — your decisions are needed so that there is real protection of life in Ukraine. And above all, of course, these are decisions by America, decisions by the strong in Europe and the world”, the head of state said.
Zelenskyy emphasized that Patriot missiles are needed now not in warehouses, but in Patriot units in Ukraine.
The president also said Ukraine is delivering results every day with its long-range and medium-range strikes against Russia. According to him, Ukraine’s goal in Crimea and other occupied territories is to make continued occupation as unbearable as possible for the occupier.
Zelenskyy separately highlighted operations against Russia’s oil sector. He said Russia is “very far from stabilization”, despite the Kremlin’s attempts to claim otherwise.
“This war must be ended, and only that can be a step toward normality”, the president stressed.
The head of state thanked Ukrainian soldiers fighting on the most difficult fronts, particularly in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv regions.
Zelenskyy also said fighting continues for Kostiantynivka, which Putin has already “claimed as his own”, but, according to the president, would never risk appearing there.
“Because in reality, what is his is only Moscow, St. Petersburg and his residences”, Zelenskyy said.
The president called the greatest cynicism of this war the fact that Putin, relying only on his inner circle, Moscow and his favorite residences, “burns everything he can reach” and loses tens of thousands of his own citizens at the front every month.
According to Zelenskyy, in June there were almost 30,000 confirmed Russian personnel losses on the front — killed and seriously wounded.
Zelenskyy separately praised the Security Service of Ukraine’s Alpha Special Operations Center, which, he said, recorded the highest number of successful strikes among Ukrainian defenders. He added that Ukraine will continue to provide more capabilities for its units — from deep strikes to medium-range operations and frontline defense.
