In Kyiv region, efforts are continuing to extinguish a fire in the forest areas of the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone.
According to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service, rescuers are working at the scene, along with fire protection staff from the Northern Pushcha state enterprise.

More than 200 people and about 60 units of special equipment have been involved in extinguishing the fire.
Heavy engineering equipment is being used to clear roads to ensure fire trucks can access the areas where the fire is burning.
Special equipment is also being used to create mineralized strips. They are intended to contain the spread of the fire and prevent it from moving to other parts of the forest.
The State Emergency Service said rescuers are working in extremely difficult conditions. Due to the heat, temperatures directly in the burning areas reach about 50 degrees Celsius in some places.
Radiation levels in the work area are being constantly monitored. According to measurements, the readings remain within normal limits.
