The Russian leadership may be considering at least five or six possible scenarios for action against European and NATO countries. These could include missile and drone strikes, the use of ground forces, false-flag provocations and attempts to test European air defense systems.
This assessment was made by Ukrainian serviceman and military analyst Oleksandr Musiienko during an appearance on Channel 24.
According to him, Russia may be preparing different ways to test NATO’s defense capabilities and unity.
“I think they definitely have five or six plans,” Musiienko said.
One scenario could involve the large-scale use of missiles, attack drones and long-range artillery. Moscow could also theoretically consider deploying ground units.
Another option could be provocations and false-flag operations. According to the analyst, Russian troops or saboteurs could use uniforms from Poland, Lithuania or Estonia to make their actions appear to have been carried out by another state.
Such provocations could be aimed at creating chaos, spreading disinformation and testing NATO countries’ response.
Musiienko said another possible scenario could involve sending drones deep into European territory. This would allow Russia to assess the response time, deployment and capabilities of air defense systems.
Such actions could also be intended to determine how coherently NATO allies would act if the airspace of one member state were violated.
At the same time, the claim about “five or six plans” is the analyst’s personal assessment. He did not cite Kremlin documents or confirmed intelligence indicating that a plan to attack Europe has already been approved.
