        General Staff Reports Strike on Enterprise Supplying Russian Occupation Army

        On February 12, units of the Security Service of Ukraine and other components of the Defense Forces struck the Ukhta oil refinery in the city of Ukhta, Komi Republic, Russian Federation.

        This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

        The operation took place as part of systematic measures aimed at reducing the military and economic potential of the Russian aggressor. The distance from the state border of Ukraine to the facility is 1,750 kilometers.

        According to preliminary information, a fire broke out at the AVT technological unit and the visbreaking unit after the strike. The main purpose of the visbreaking unit is to reduce the viscosity of feedstock to obtain commercial fuel oil and additional light fractions, including gasoline and gas oil.

        The enterprise is part of the structure of PJSC Lukoil and processes about 4.2 million tons of oil annually. The main products are motor and straight-run gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil and vacuum gas oil. The plant is involved in supplying the Russian occupation army.

        The scale of the damage is being уточнюється. The General Staff emphasized that the Defense Forces of Ukraine will continue to systematically carry out measures aimed at weakening the combat potential of the Russian aggressor.
