Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck the Ust-Luga Oil terminal in Russia’s Leningrad region overnight on April 7. Authorities also уточнили the results of previous strikes on oil infrastructure.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the strike targeted the Ust-Luga Oil terminal in the settlement of Slobodka, Leningrad region of Russia.
Preliminary reports confirm damage to three storage tanks belonging to Transneft-Baltika. The facility is a key element of Russia’s oil export infrastructure.
The extent of the damage is still being assessed.
The General Staff also уточнили the results of strikes carried out on April 5. In particular, three RVS-20000-type tanks were damaged at the Transneft-Port Primorsk facility, followed by a fire involving petroleum products.
In addition, damage was confirmed at the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez refinery, where elements of primary oil processing units AVT-6, AVT-1 and unit 19/6 were affected.
Ukraine’s Defense Forces stated they will continue targeting critical infrastructure of the aggressor until the full cessation of Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine.
