“One of them, probably struck over the city of Reni, changed its trajectory and arrived in Galați,” Nicușor Dan said.

The Romanian president specified that the drone had been hit by kinetic means. According to Romanian investigators, the drone may have been carrying at least 30 kilograms of explosives.

Nicușor Dan emphasized that responsibility for the incident lies with Russia. He also stated that Romania would continue consultations with its allies on strengthening drone defense capabilities.

Meanwhile, Russian dictator Putin held a press conference and made a number of statements regarding the drone incident that struck a house in Romania. According to him, until an examination of the wreckage is conducted, no one can reliably determine the drone’s origin.

Putin also stated that Ukrainian drones had previously entered the territory of various countries, but the first reaction had always been to blame Russia, whereas in Romania the incident allegedly involved a Ukrainian drone. He also said that Russia is ready to conduct an objective investigation if it is provided with the wreckage of the drone that fell in Romania.
