The 1,169th day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. Over the past day, 171 battles took place on the front line. Most of the attacks were repelled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Pokrovsk (77), Novopavlivka (23), and Lyman (21) directions.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the day, the enemy launched four missile strikes against the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, using four missiles, as well as 96 air strikes, including 187 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it carried out more than 6,400 shelling attacks, including 109 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 3,267 kamikaze drones to strike targets.
The aggressor carried out air strikes on the following populated areas:
- Rusyn Yar, Nova Poltavka, Stara Mykolaivka, Myrnohrad, Bilitske, Yablunivka, Novoolenivka, Poltavka, Pokrovsk, Oleksandro-Kalinove, Zoria, Novopavlivka, Novopil, Zelenе Pole in the Donetsk region;
- Novodarivka, Temyrivka, Olgivske, Hulyaypole, Malynivka, Mala Tokmachka, Kamyanske in the Zaporizhzhia region;
- Verbove in the Dnipropetrovsk region;
- Olgivka, Novooleksandrivka in the Kherson region.
Kharkiv, Kupiansk, and Lyman directions
Over the past day, eight combat clashes took place in the Kharkiv direction in the areas of Vovchansk and Vovchanski Khutory.
In the Kupiansk direction, three attacks by the occupiers were recorded during the day. Defense forces repelled enemy assaults in the areas of the settlements of Zagryzove and Petropavlivka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 21 times. They attempted to advance in the areas of the settlements of Lypove, Nadiya, Zelenyi Hai, Ridkodub, Yampilivka, Torske, and in the directions of Novyi Mir, Zelenaya Dolyna, and Kolodyaziv.
Kramatorsk, Toretsk, Pokrovsk directions
Over the past day, five clashes took place in the Kramatorsk direction in the areas of Kurdyumivka and Chasiv Yar.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out eight attacks in the areas of Dachne, Druzhba, and Toretsk.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 77 attacks by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Kalynove, Promin, Lysivka, Dachenske, Shevchenko, Kotlyne, Udachne, Zvirove, Novooleksandrivka, Nadiivka, Troitske, Novoserhiivka, Kotlyarivka, Sribne, Andriivka, and towards Malynivka, Nova Poltavka, Novopavlivka, Pokrovska, Myrolyubivka, and Oleksiivka.
Novopavlivka, Kursk, and other directions
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces repelled 23 enemy assaults near the settlements of Kostyantynopil, Pryvillia, Rivnopil, Novosilka, Vilne Pole, Shevchenko, Novopil, and Odradne.
The enemy twice attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders in the Vysokyi area in the Huliaipilska direction.
In the Orikhiv direction, near Stepove, Malykh Shcherbakiv, Kam’yanske, and in the direction of Novoandriivka, the invaders carried out four futile attacks on the positions of Ukrainian defenders.
In the Dnipro direction, Russian occupiers carried out one unsuccessful attack, trying to get closer to the positions of Ukrainian defenders.
In the Kursk direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 11 enemy attacks over the past day. The enemy carried out 336 artillery strikes, 14 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems. It also carried out 12 air strikes, during which it dropped 18 guided bombs.
No signs of enemy offensive formations were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
