General Staff clarifies the scale of Russian aviation losses after SBU special operation

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has clarified the data on Russian aviation losses as a result of the SBU’s special operation. According to the updated data, on 1 June, Russia lost 41 aircraft.

‘After processing additional information from various sources and verifying it, which took some time, we inform that the total losses of the occupiers amounted to 41 military aircraft, including strategic bombers and other types of combat aircraft,’ the statement said.

Thus, Russian losses as of 3 June are as follows

  • personnel – about 990,800 (+1100 over the past day);
  • tanks – 10,881 (+7);
  • armoured combat vehicles – 22,671 (+8);
  • artillery systems – 28,623 (+48);
  • MLRS – 1,402 (+1);
  • air defence systems – 1,176 (+1);
  • aircraft – 413 (+41);
  • helicopters – 336;
  • operational and tactical UAVs – 38,748 (+126);
  • cruise missiles – 3,271;
  • ships and boats – 28;
  • submarines – 1;
  • vehicles and tankers – 50,607 (+145);
  • special equipment – 3,905.

On 1 June, the SBU conducted Operation Web, attacking Russian military airfields Olenya, Belaya, Diagilevo and Ivanovo with drones. The targeted aircraft included Russian A-50s, Tu-95s and Tu-22 M3s.
