On the night of June 1, several regions of Russia reportedly came under drone attack. According to local residents and Russian Telegram channels, explosions were heard in the city of Olenegorsk in the Murmansk region, as well as near Usolye-Sibirskoye in the Irkutsk region.

In Olenegorsk, eyewitnesses claim that drones were launched directly from a truck parked near a gas station at the city entrance. One resident said that the truck driver was detained by police. The Telegram channel Baza reports that the man may not have known what he was transporting. So far, this information has not been officially confirmed.

The Olenya airbase, which hosts strategic bombers, is located near Olenegorsk. Videos and photos circulating on social media show smoke and a fire at the scene.

Meanwhile, residents of Usolye-Sibirskoye in the Irkutsk region report a mass drone attack on the “Belaya” military garrison located about 18 kilometers from the city. This may be one of the first cases of drones reaching Siberia.

As of now, Russian authorities have not issued any official comments regarding either incident.
