On the night of October 14, Ukraine’s Defense Forces attacked an airfield in Russia’s Voronezh region, destroying four Russian Su-34 aircraft and hitting two more. Following the operation, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that long-range strikes against Russian targets would continue.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this on Telegram.

Russian forces had used these aircraft to carry out strikes against Ukraine. At the time of the attack, the Su-34 jets were loaded with aerial bombs and prepared for further strikes.

Ukraine used its long-range Neptune missile to strike the airfield. Zelenskyy thanked the Ukrainian Navy personnel for the accuracy of the strike.

The president also reported strikes on a facility used to store and launch Russian attack drones in the Oryol region.

Ukrainian forces also struck a target in the Black Sea. He did not provide further details about that operation.

“Russia is prolonging the war, so our long-range operations will continue,” the president said.
