Today, March 19, Iran launched nine missile strikes against Israel; air raid sirens sounded in the north, the center of the country, and the Jerusalem area. There are no reports of casualties.
This is reported by The Times of Israel and Clash Report.
Israel confirmed that one of the missiles struck an oil refinery in Haifa, where a fire broke out. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene.
Power outages were also reported in the suburbs of Krayot following the attack. Israel’s Energy Minister stated that the damage to the power grid is localized and minor.
The Haifa oil refinery (Bazan) is Israel’s largest and most critical fuel facility, supplying approximately 50–60% of the country’s fuel needs, including about 60% of diesel and 50% of gasoline. The facility processes approximately 197,000 barrels of oil per day, covering a significant portion of Israel’s needs in the transportation, aviation, and military sectors.
