Against the backdrop of global oil prices rising above $100, Russia has announced that it will strengthen its influence in the global economy and geopolitics. Moscow claims that it is impossible to ignore the country’s role in the energy sector.
This was announced by the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Kirill Dmitriev.
“With oil above $100, Russia’s voice in the global economy and geopolitics is even louder. Reality is taking its toll again: it is impossible to ignore Russia,“ Dmitriev wrote.
The Kremlin has stated that Russia is a ”system-forming energy supplier“ without which ”global stability“ and a ”sustainable model of global economic growth” are impossible.
According to Dmitriev, Europe will allegedly have to pay a huge price for “the mistakes of Eurocrats and Russophobic policies.”
