A military airfield in the Saratov region of the Russian Federation was attacked by drones, the head of the region, Roman Busargin, said.
According to him, there were “no preliminary damage or casualties”. He did not provide any other details.
The Russian Defense Ministry did not report any downed drones over the Saratov region.
The city of Engels, Saratov region, is home to the Engels 2 air base of the Russian Aerospace Forces, where Russian strategic bombers that launch missiles at Ukraine are based. The airbase has been under attack several times.
