Russian military personnel are receiving orders to sever the heads of their own fallen soldiers so as not to evacuate the bodies from the battlefield. In intercepted conversations, the occupiers discuss such instructions from their command.
This is evidenced by a new interception of conversations between Russian occupiers, released by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.
The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine interception reveals a practice in which Russian commanders issue orders to cut off the heads of fallen soldiers for subsequent identification.
“He was ordered to bring the head because it’s hard to carry the bodies. Cut off the head and bring it along with the documents,” one Russian soldier explains to another.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, in such cases, instead of evacuating the bodies of the dead from the battlefield, the occupiers limit themselves to transporting the heads along with the documents.
Intercepted conversations also mention Russian commanders with call signs “Fak” and “Aladdin,” who, according to the interlocutors, have already employed this practice on multiple occasions.
“The battalion commander made it clear that we only carry out our own,” says another occupier.
The conversations also suggest that the military is trying to conceal such facts even during internal communications.
The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (GUR) reminded that Russian soldiers can surrender through the “I Want to Live” project.
