CIA Director Bill Burns Holds Final Meeting with Zelenskyy in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has confirmed the conclusion of CIA Director Bill Burns’ final visit to Ukraine. In a social media post, Zelenskyy expressed his gratitude for Burns’ support and highlighted the numerous meetings they had conducted throughout the war.

“Usually, such meetings are not publicly disclosed. All our discussions—in Ukraine, other European countries, the United States, and elsewhere—were held without official announcements. But now, following this final visit, it is worth acknowledging openly. I wish you, Bill, and your family all the best! May luck always be on your side,” Zelenskyy stated.

The President emphasized that while details remain confidential, contact with Burns will continue. Zelenskyy also expressed confidence in their future encounters and shared hope for witnessing the war’s conclusion with a “real and lasting peace,” a goal for which they continue to collaborate.

Bill Burns, who has been the Director of the CIA since 2021, has played a key role in bolstering the United States’ strategic support for Ukraine during Russia’s ongoing invasion.
