        Casualty toll from Kharkiv strike rises: two killed, 31 injured

        Two people were killed and another 31 were injured as a result of a Russian strike on Kharkiv with guided aerial bombs. Two children are among the injured.

        This was reported by Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleh Syniehubov.

        According to preliminary information, Russian forces struck the city with three guided aerial bombs. The impacts were recorded in residential areas of the Slobidskyi and Nemyshlianskyi districts.

        The strikes caused fires. Around 20 residential buildings, outbuildings and office premises, an educational institution and vehicles were damaged or destroyed.

        Rescuers, medics and law enforcement officers continue to work at the impact sites. Efforts to eliminate the consequences of the attack are ongoing.

        Earlier, it was reported that Russia attacked the Kharkiv region with guided bombs and drones: at that time, one person was known to have been killed and more than 20 injured.
