Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is ready to visit the US in the near future to finalize a draft peace agreement. According to preliminary information, the Ukrainian leader wants to meet with Donald Trump on Thanksgiving Day.

This was reported by Axios, citing the head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak.

According to the head of the Office of the President, Zelenskyy wants to meet with Donald Trump as soon as possible, possibly on Thanksgiving Day, to finalize the peace agreement. This meeting will help the US president push forward the initiative to end the war.

Yermak noted that the key topic for discussion remains the issue of territories, but the current version of the peace plan is in line with Ukrainian interests and takes into account “red lines.” He stressed that Ukraine is not abandoning its course toward NATO membership, and the proposed security guarantees must be legally binding. Yermak added that the US has responded positively to the idea of enshrining such guarantees in an official treaty.

According to the head of the Presidential Office, the document now contains 19 points — topics unrelated to peace have been removed, and some provisions have been changed to align with Kyiv’s position. He stressed that the process is moving forward thanks to the work of US officials, including Marco Rubio, Dan Driscoll, Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner.

Earlier it was reported that after consultations in Geneva, Ukraine and the US had prepared an updated framework document. It also became known that US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll met with Russian representatives in Abu Dhabi to discuss the plan. The Financial Times wrote about a possible reduction in the size of the Ukrainian army to 800,000, but a source at RBC-Ukraine noted that the document only refers to maintaining a certain level of troops, not setting a limit.
