Russian forces launched a missile attack on Kharkiv overnight on July 8. Strikes were recorded in the city’s Osnovianskyi and Nemyshlianskyi districts, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleh Syniehubov reported.

According to city authorities, around 20 private homes, a church, five cars and a street lighting network were damaged in the Nemyshlianskyi district.

Syniehubov said four women — aged 52, 79, 47 and 69 — were injured after the overnight strike. They suffered an acute stress reaction.

All those affected received medical assistance.

Terekhov had earlier reported that missile strikes were first recorded in the Osnovianskyi district, followed by another strike in the Nemyshlianskyi district.

Emergency and specialized services worked at the site of the strike. The consequences of the attack are being clarified.
