Ukraine’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Andriy Melnyk delivered a strong statement during a UN Security Council meeting in response to Russia’s demands. The diplomat stressed that Moscow will not receive what it seeks.
Ukraine’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Andriy Melnyk, published a video of his speech at a UN Security Council meeting, in which he addressed Russia with a sharp response to its attempts to force Ukraine into capitulation. In a post shared on the social network X, the diplomat stated: “Russia still wants Ukraine to capitulate. So here is my message to Moscow at this UN Security Council meeting: Дырку от бублика получите, а не Украину! All you’ll get is just an empty hole of a bagel”.
Melnyk emphasized that Ukraine will continue to fight and will not give up its sovereignty despite Russian pressure.
