        A tense day on the front line: over 70 clashes reported, Russia pounds border villages

        As of 4:00 PM on June 28, Ukraine’s General Staff reports 71 combat clashes along the entire front line. Russian forces continue to shell border settlements — artillery fire hit Myropilske, Pokrovka, Ulanove, Slavgorod, Petrushivka, Studenok, Hirky, Bratenytsia, and Kucheriivka in Sumy region.

        In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, six clashes have taken place since morning, one is still ongoing. The enemy has carried out six airstrikes and over 200 shelling attacks, including strikes from multiple launch rocket systems.

        In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, Russian units launched six attacks near Vovchansk and Stroivka — two battles continue. Enemy aircraft struck Vilkhuvatka with guided bombs.

        In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy attempted four assaults near Holubivka, Stepova Novoselivka, and Zelenyi Hai — two clashes are still ongoing. The Lyman direction saw ten attacks near Nadiia, Ridkodub, Torske, Serebrianka, and Hryhorivka — two clashes continue.

        In the Siversk direction, all five enemy attempts to advance near Hryhorivka were repelled. In the Toretsk sector, four enemy assaults were recorded near Kurdiumivka, Toretsk, Leonidivka, and toward Yablunivka — one battle is ongoing.

        The Pokrovsk direction remains the hottest spot — the enemy launched 29 assaults today alone, with clashes still raging near Popiv Yar, Myrne, Koptieve, Oleksiivka, and other villages. In the Novopavlivka sector, four attacks were repelled near Yalta, Zaporizhzhia, Dniproenerhiya, and Shevchenko — two clashes are ongoing.

        In the Huliaipole and Orikhiv directions, the enemy carried out airstrikes but no active clashes are reported. Ukraine’s Defense Forces hold their positions firmly.
