The 1197th day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. From June 3 to June 4, 178 combat engagements took place in all sectors of the frontline. The occupants are most actively attacking at the Pokrovske, Novopavlivka and Kursk directions.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Over the past day, the enemy launched three missile and 77 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, used four missiles and 101 guided bombs. In addition, it carried out 6111 attacks, including 90 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 3,669 kamikaze drones to attack.
The aggressor carried out air strikes in the vicinity of populated areas:
Osoyivka, Velykyi Prykil, Sumy region;
Kopteve, Popov Yar, Myrnohrad, Myrne, Sukhyi Yar, Novomykhailivka, Komar, Fedorivka in Donetsk region;
Novodarivka, Olhivske, Huliaypole, Mali Shcherbaky, Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia region.
Kharkiv, Kupyansk, Lyman and Siversk directions
Five firefights took place in the Kharkiv sector yesterday in the areas of Vovchansk, Kamianka and Vovchanski Khutory.
Four occupants’ attacks were registered in the Kupyansk sector. Defense forces repelled the enemy’s assault in the areas of Zahryzove, Pishchane, Nova Kruhlyakivka and in the direction of Stepova Novoselivka.
In the Liman sector, the enemy attacked 19 times, trying to advance near Kolodyazy, Zelena Dolyna, Torske and in the direction of Hlushchenkove, Olhivka, Serednye, Vovchyi Yar, Cherneshchyna, Karpivka and Novyi Myr.
In the Siversky sector, the aggressor attacked in the direction of Hryhorivka. A total of three firefights took place yesterday.
Kramatorsk, Toretsk and Pokrovsk sectors
In the Kramatorsk sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled six enemy attacks in the area of Chasovyi Yar and in the direction of Bila Hora.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy launched 16 attacks in the areas of Krymske, Rusyn Yar, Druzhba, Toretsk and in the direction of Yablunivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian troops stopped 55 aggressor attacks in the areas of Nova Poltavka, Pokrovsk, Kotlyarivka, Novoukrainka, Andriivka, Novooleynivka, Zvirove, Malynivka, Yelizavetivka, Myrne, Lysivka, Udachne, Novosergiivka and in the direction of Myroliubivka and Novomykolaivka.
Novopavlivka, Orikhove and Kursk directions
In the Novopavlivka sector, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 32 enemy attacks in the areas of Fedorivka, Kostiantynopil, Rivne, Vile Pole, Zaporizhzhia and towards Zelene Pole, Novopil, Shevchenko, Komar and Bahatyry.
No firefights were registered in the Huliaipil sector yesterday.
In the Orikhivsk sector, near Stepove and Shcherbaky, the invaders made five futile attacks on the positions of Ukrainian defenders.
In the Prydniprovsky sector, the enemy tried to approach the fortifications of the Defense Forces once without success.
There were 26 combat engagements in the Kursk sector. The enemy launched 231 artillery attacks, including one from a multiple launch rocket system, and carried out seventeen air strikes, dropping twenty-three guided aerial bombs.
There were no signs of enemy offensive groups forming in the Volyn and Polissya directions.
