President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in his evening address, said that Ukraine is preparing to more actively use its own long-range weapons — including missiles and drones — and already has concrete plans for the coming months.
The statement was published by the Office of the President of Ukraine.
According to the head of state, he held detailed discussions with the military command on the use of long-range capabilities, production, supplies to the army, and the training of crews.
“Our task now is to be much more active in everything related to the preparation and implementation of long-range sanctions against Russia. The more effective Ukraine is in long-range strikes, the faster we can achieve peace,” Zelenskyy said.
The president emphasized that Ukraine’s long-range weapons are becoming significantly more advanced, and the state has already provided all the necessary resources to expand production.
“We must also significantly increase their use. We have clear plans for the coming months — everything must be implemented,” he added.
Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine’s strikes are precise and justified, unlike Russia’s, which target civilians.
“We are not waging war for the sake of war, as Russia does. Even Hamas is showing readiness for negotiations — but not Putin. Not yet,” the president noted.
He added that Ukraine, together with its partners, is creating the conditions to compel Russia to peace.
“We support all global diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving peace in the Middle East and hope that fair pressure on Russia will lead to peace — for Ukraine and for our entire region. It is important that the leadership of the United States continues to play its role,” Zelenskyy concluded.
