Ukraine’s negotiating team is holding another round of talks in France with representatives of the U.S. president. Key topics include the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and territorial issues.

As President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, he has already received the first briefing from Defense Minister Rustem Umerov on the work of Ukraine’s negotiating team in France. According to him, another session of talks with representatives of the U.S. president will take place, marking the third such session in two days.

Zelenskyy said the meetings are expected to discuss the most difficult issues within the basic framework for ending the war, including the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and territorial matters. He also instructed the team to discuss possible formats for leader-level meetings between Ukraine, other European states, and the United States.

The president emphasized that Ukraine does not shy away from difficult issues and will not be an obstacle to peace, but peace must be dignified. He added that the outcome depends on whether partners ensure Russia’s genuine readiness to end the war.

By the end of the day, Zelenskyy expects a detailed report from the negotiating team. Ukraine is represented at the meetings by Rustem Umerov, Andrii Hnatov, Kyrylo Budanov, Serhii Kyslytsia, Davyd Arakhamia, and Oleksandr Bevz.
