President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russian satellites are collecting imagery of U.S. military sites for Iran. According to him, the targets include bases and infrastructure in the Middle East.

Zelenskyy made the statement while speaking to journalists. He noted that he receives intelligence updates daily, even when he is outside Ukraine.

According to the president, on March 24 Russian satellites captured images of the U.S.-UK Diego Garcia base in the Indian Ocean, as well as Kuwait International Airport and parts of the Greater Burgan oil field.

On March 25, he said, imaging was conducted at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia. The following day — at the Shaybah oil field, Incirlik Air Base in Turkey, and Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.

Zelenskyy stressed that such activity indicates preparation for potential strikes. He noted that in Ukraine, similar surveillance is usually followed by efforts to strengthen protection of critical facilities.

At the same time, the president pointed out that Ukrainian sites were not among those listed, but questioned the logic of easing sanctions on Russia.

“If Russia is providing such intelligence for strikes on other countries’ facilities, how can sanctions be lifted?” he said.

Zelenskyy emphasized that pressure on the aggressor should be increased, not reduced.
