President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that there are no simple solutions to end the war, and that no agreements about Ukraine can be made without its participation. He outlined three key and most sensitive issues being worked on jointly with international partners.
In his address, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine fully understands the realities of the war and the nature of the adversary, and therefore does not expect quick or easy pathways to its conclusion. As Zelenskyy noted, the crucial point is that all decisions must be fair, transparent and never made behind Ukraine’s back.
He stated that the most sensitive issues include Ukraine’s territories, frozen Russian assets and the future system of security guarantees. Zelenskyy added that he cannot speak on behalf of European leaders regarding frozen funds in Europe, but he can share Ukraine’s position — and they may choose to support it.
The President emphasized that Ukraine counts on strong security guarantees from the United States, Europe and other states participating in what he called the “Coalition of the Willing.” According to him, this is one of the key areas of work for Ukrainian and international teams.
“These three issues — territories, frozen assets and security guarantees — are the most sensitive and the most important. Our teams will continue working on them,” Zelenskyy concluded.
