On the night of January 13, Russia launched nearly 300 attack drones, 18 ballistic missiles, and seven cruise missiles at Ukraine, with energy infrastructure once again being the main target. A number of regions were hit, resulting in significant damage to civilian facilities and casualties.
This was reported by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“The Russians launched nearly 300 strike drones, most of which were Shahed drones, 18 ballistic missiles, and seven cruise missiles at Ukraine last night. Once again, the main target of the attack was our energy sector: power generation and substations,” the statement said.
Destruction of residential and civilian infrastructure has been recorded. The strikes targeted the Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Donetsk regions.
Four people were killed in a missile strike on a postal terminal in Korotychi, Kharkiv region. In Kyiv region, several hundred thousand families were left without electricity, and Resilience Centers were deployed.
“Every such attack against life is a reminder that we must not stop supporting Ukraine. Missiles for air defense systems are needed every day, especially during winter. The world can respond to this Russian terror with new aid packages for Ukraine. We are counting on the acceleration of deliveries that have already been agreed with America and Europe. Russia must understand that the cold will not help it win the war. Thank you to everyone who is helping,” Zelenskyy wrote.
