Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a telephone conversation with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Zelensky announced this on social media.

Zelensky informed the Indian prime minister about the latest Russian attacks, in particular yesterday’s shelling of a bus station in Zaporizhzhia, where dozens of people were injured.

“And this is at a time when there is finally a diplomatic possibility to end the war. Instead of demonstrating readiness for a ceasefire, Russia is showing only its desire to continue the occupation and killings,” the president said.

The interlocutors paid special attention to the sanctions policy against Russia. Zelensky called for restrictions on the export of Russian energy resources, in particular oil, in order to reduce Russia’s ability to finance the war, and stressed the importance of pressure from world leaders.
