President Volodymyr Zelensky detailed the scale of Russia’s latest overnight attack on Ukraine, saying strikes ranged from Kharkiv and Sumy regions in the east to Lviv and Bukovyna in the west.

“There were 26 cruise missiles and 597 drones, more than half of them Shaheds. Over 20 missiles and the majority of the attack drones were intercepted,” Zelensky wrote on social media, thanking Ukraine’s air defense forces for their performance.

However, he confirmed that there were hits on civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings. The worst casualties were in Chernivtsi, where two people were killed. The president expressed condolences to their families and noted that around 20 people were injured and are receiving medical care.

Zelensky stressed the need for swift action to counter Russia’s airstrike tactics. He called for tough secondary sanctions against all those helping Russia produce drones and profit from oil sales. He also urged partners to supply more air defense systems and invest in interceptor drones, which he said are already proving effective.

“You can only stop this war with force. We expect not just signals but real actions from partners that will save lives,” Zelensky emphasized.
