President Volodymyr Zelensky said that after the ceasefire is achieved, some countries may advocate that Ukraine continue negotiations with Russia without international support.

The head of state announced this during a conversation with journalists.

‘You see how difficult it is to take even the first step — a ceasefire. Now imagine how much more difficult it will be to discuss issues of territory, sanctions… And so there are certain signals that, after the ceasefire agreement, some countries will want us to be left alone with the Russians,’ the president said responding to a question from a Ukrinform correspondent about the possible loss of US interest in the negotiation process.

At the same time, Zelenskyy expressed his conviction that Europe would remain close, as ‘there are many related issues.’

‘But I think that there are indeed such opinions in the US. Because everything is very complicated,’ he added.
