Water in Kharkiv is currently being supplied according to schedule due to night-time enemy attacks on critical infrastructure, said Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
‘At night, the enemy attacked the Kharkivoblenergo substation, located in the Kharkiv region, with about ten ’shahids”. It is the main source of water for Kharkiv, so after the strike, the city temporarily switched to its own backup power supply systems. This is the ‘energy island’ system that we created earlier. Utility services are working continuously to restore water supply after the damage to the power facility,” the city council’s press service quoted the mayor as saying.
According to him, about 60% of subscribers in Kharkiv are currently supplied with water. In some areas, temporary restrictions and reduced pressure have been introduced due to repair work.
