Ukrainian naval drones have destroyed Russian surveillance systems on drilling platforms in the Black Sea

The Ukrainian Navy has attacked with marine drones gas platforms off the coast of occupied Crimea, which have been used by Russia for military purposes since 2015. This was reported by the command of the Navy of the AFU.

‘Marine drones of the Navy unit carried out targeted strikes on Russian targets. Destroyed enemy surveillance systems placed on captured gas platforms off the coast of the temporarily occupied Crimea’, – stated in the official message.

We are talking about gas and oil drilling platforms in the Black Sea, which Russia seized after the annexation of Crimea. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, they have been used as helipads and for installing radar stations.

There have been reports of AFU strikes on platforms belonging to Russia’s illegally appropriated Chornomorneftegaz since June 2022.
