        Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center Warns of Thunderstorms and Gusty Winds on June 23

        On Sunday, June 23, variable cloudiness and unstable weather conditions are expected across Ukraine. According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, short-term showers are forecast overnight in most parts of the country except the western and most northern regions. During the day, brief rains and thunderstorms will affect the eastern, southeastern, Poltava, and Sumy regions.

        Winds will be predominantly northwesterly at 7–12 m/s. In central and southern areas, gusts may reach 15–20 m/s.

        Temperatures at night will range from +9°C to +14°C, and up to +17°C in the south. Daytime temperatures will rise to +19…+24°C, and in western and southern regions up to +28°C.

        In Kyiv and the surrounding region, variable cloudiness is also expected. There is a chance of brief rain at night, with no precipitation during the day. Northwesterly wind at 7–12 m/s. In the capital, nighttime temperatures will be +11…+13°C and daytime +20…+22°C.

        The Hydrometeorological Center has issued a yellow-level hazard warning due to thunderstorms in several regions. Weather conditions may complicate the operations of energy, construction, and utility services, and may also impact transportation safety.
