Today at around 11:30 AM, Ukrainian forces shot down an enemy aerial target heading toward the city of Dnipro, according to the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The target — a missile or an aerial bomb — was launched by a Russian tactical aircraft from the airspace over temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia region. It traveled more than 100 kilometers before being destroyed by air defense forces outside the city.

The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, confirmed that the explosion heard in Dnipro’s outskirts was the result of Ukrainian air defense at work. According to him, Ukrainian defenders intercepted and destroyed a new type of Russian guided missile-bomb called the “Grom-1.”
