In October, Ukraine’s Defense Forces neutralized more than 8,000 missiles and drones, as well as 43,000 tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles. Strike UAVs accounted for the largest share of intercepted aerial targets.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported this.

Another 2,688 Shahed-238 strike UAVs, 1,104 reconnaissance drones and 809 Lancet drones were also neutralized.

Among the missiles intercepted by Ukrainian forces were 14 Kh-101 missiles, 12 Kalibr missiles, 11 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, eight Iskander-K missiles and seven Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missiles.

In addition, air defense forces neutralized one Zircon missile and 143 S8000 Banderol missiles.

The Defense Ministry stressed that ballistic missiles remain a particularly difficult threat. Ukraine continues to strengthen its air defense, but additional capabilities are needed to better protect cities from ballistic missile attacks.
