President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, where the development of Ukrainian weapons production and increased pressure on Russia were discussed.

According to the head of state, Ukraine has reached the capacity to produce such a volume of technological weapons that, in the long term, it could exceed Russia’s capabilities.

Zelensky said that during the Staff meeting, which included weapons manufacturers, they discussed what decisions are needed from the state, including administrative and financial ones, to maximize Ukraine’s capabilities.

This primarily concerns drones of all types, ground robotic systems, the missile program, electronic warfare systems and military equipment.

The president noted that this discussion continued the talks that had taken place in recent weeks at the National Security and Defense Council, parliament and the Ministry of Defense.

Zelensky instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense to focus on working with partners to secure additional funding for Ukrainian weapons production.

“Investments in Ukrainian production are investments in forcing Russia to peace,” the president said.

According to Zelensky, the implementation of Ukraine’s long-range and medium-range sanctions plan has shown that limiting Russia’s ability to wage war directly depends on how strongly Russian social groups feel the impact of the war on their daily lives.

The president stressed that Ukraine will continue its policy of raising the cost of occupation for the occupier and limiting Russia’s ability to finance the war.

The Staff also separately considered the development of Ukraine’s missile program, including the production of effective Ukrainian ballistic weapons and an anti-ballistic system.

Zelensky said that a review of capabilities had been carried out and steps had been identified to speed up production, testing and deployment.

The participants also discussed the volumes and timelines for the delivery of air defense systems that Ukraine needs on an almost daily basis.

The president said that in the coming days, the key priority in all diplomatic work, meetings and negotiations will be strengthening Ukraine’s air defense.
