Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence has officially launched DOT-Chain, a digital supply management platform aimed at streamlining logistics for the Armed Forces. Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal signed the order following the successful completion of its pilot phase.
From drones to food: a unified logistics platform
DOT-Chain automates procurement and delivery processes for everything from clothing and rations to drones and electronic warfare systems. According to Shmyhal, the system ensures standardisation, speed, and data accuracy in military logistics.
One of its key features, DOT-Chain Defence, allows frontline soldiers to directly select the drones they need. The Defence Procurement Agency handles all associated paperwork and ensures direct delivery from suppliers to military units.
A step toward digital transformation in defence
“DOT-Chain is another step toward maximum efficiency and transparency in supplying our troops — in line with wartime demands and the standards of our international partners,” Shmyhal said.
The system’s rollout is part of a broader transformation of Ukraine’s defence sector, focused on digitising procurement, reforming logistics, and strengthening coordination between the front lines and the rear.
