President Volodymyr Zelensky, speaking at the Verkhovna Rada, said that since the beginning of 2024 Ukraine has produced more than 2.5 million mortar and artillery shells of various calibers, from 60 mm to 155 mm.
He noted the active increase in defense production both domestically and in cooperation with international partners.
“We are doing our best to expand our production capacity, including the manufacture of guns, shells and other weapons. This cooperation is part of the overall plan to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capability,” Zelensky stressed.
Within the framework of the signed security agreements between Ukraine and Western states, the development of the defense industry, particularly ammunition production capacities, was mentioned.
