Funding for Ukraine’s Defense Forces will be provided in full, but the country needs around €29 billion in international support to cover other budget expenditures through the end of the year. Ukraine could receive at least €4 billion as early as November, but the Verkhovna Rada must pass several additional bills to secure the remaining funds.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Serhiy Koretskyi, reported this.

According to him, funding for the Defense Forces remains an unconditional priority and will be provided in full.

Koretskyi also said that all regional budget payments for September had been made in full, while the government plans to complete all outstanding October payments in the coming days.

At the same time, international financial support remains critical for other budget expenditures through the end of the year, including resilience programs.

According to the prime minister, the government has fulfilled all of its obligations, while parliament has passed a number of necessary bills. This makes it possible for Ukraine to receive at least €4 billion in November.

However, the overall funding requirement stands at around €29 billion.

To ensure the remaining funds arrive on time, parliament must pass several more bills during the next plenary week.

Koretskyi warned that any delay in voting could result in part of the international financing not arriving this year.

In that case, he said, there could be a risk of another forced suspension of funding for certain budget expenditure items.

The prime minister added that ministers are already working with parliamentary committees and parliamentary groups and providing all necessary information and explanations regarding the relevant bills.
