The Ukrainian national ice hockey team scored a convincing victory over Poland in the fourth round of the 2025 World Championship in Division IA, winning 4-1. This is the third victory for Ukraine in the tournament.
Before the match, both teams had six points. In the group, the ‘blue and yellows’ had already defeated Italy in overtime and Romania, and suffered a defeat against Great Britain.
Thanks to the victory over Poland, the Ukrainian team has nine points and has moved up to second place in the standings, behind Great Britain only on goal difference.

Ukraine will play its final match of the group stage against Japan on Saturday, 3 May, at 12:30 Kyiv time. If they win, the Ukrainians will qualify for the elite division.
